About the bands:
Sandy Point is a talented youth bluegrass band from the greater Grand Rapids area. They bring their lively presence, creative arrangements, and exceptional musicianship to diverse settings throughout the region. Branching from the Michigan Academy of Folk Music in Holland, Michigan, Sandy Point brings their trained skills to the public. The mix of spirited bluegrass vocals with traditional fiddle tunes makes Sandy Point’s set superb for either background music or mainstage performance.
Surrounded:
We are a family band brought together by a love for music and the joy of creating together. Inspired by a variety of styles such as Christian folk, bluegrass, singer/songwriter, Celtic and more, each of us plays a role in shaping our unique sound. What began with piano and violin lessons has grown into a shared passion that connects us, challenges us, and brings joy to others.
